The World Family Club Library (WFCL), including the servers upon which all content of the WFCL is stored, is provided by Highlights for Children International, Inc. on servers hosted and maintained by Chungchydotcom Co., Ltd. Your access to and use of the WFCL is subject to the following terms and conditions. In addition, your access to the WFCL, whether online or through a mobile application, is facilitated by a third party access provider ("Access Host") and subject to their additional terms and conditions and privacy policies.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions.

By accessing the WFCL, you accept and agree to all of the following terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions"). If you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions, you must refrain from accessing or using the WFCL.

Revision of Terms and Conditions.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. While we may provide notices of changes to the Terms and Conditions within the WFCL or through our Access Hosts, you are responsible for periodically reviewing the Terms and Conditions. Continued access to the WFCL after any revision to the Terms and Conditions shall be deemed acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with any of the revisions, please refrain from accessing or using the WFCL.

Fees for Use.

All fees for accessing and using the WFCL are charged and collected by our Access Hosts. We do not have access to any credit card or other billing information you provided to those Access Hosts. You agree to settle all disputes over usage fees directly with those third party Access Hosts.

Availability and Monitoring.

While we intend to make the WFCL available twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, we reserve the right to control or change: accessibility, hours of use, and availability of features in the WFCL. In our efforts to provide a quality experience in the WFCL, we may monitor use of the library and its features. We reserve the right to restrict access to any or all portions of the WFCL or remove or modify any features or content from the library at any time. Due to the nature of the internet and servers, we cannot be held liable for any disruption in the availability of the WFCL. You are solely responsible for providing the equipment used to access the WFCL as well as securing your own internet connection/mobile services through which you make access.

Prohibited Uses and Conduct

When accessing or using the WFCL, you expressly agree to not:

●  remove, alter, cover, or distort any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notice in WFCL;
●  circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with security-related features of WFCL including, without limitation, any features that prevent or restrict access to, or use of, any content or information on the servers housing the WFCL;
●  use an automatic device (such as a robot or spider) or manual process to copy or "scrape" WFCL content for any purpose without our express written permission;
●  attempt to collect or harvest any personally identifiable information from the WFCL including, without limitation, user names, passwords, email addresses, or customer information provided by other users;
●  attempt to or interfere with the proper working of WFCL or impair, overburden, or disable the same;
●  decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble any portion of the WFCL;
●  impersonate another user, person, or entity (e.g., using another person’s account information without permission); or
●  engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying the WFCL.

We reserve the right to deny or terminate the access to, or use of, the WFCL by any user who violates these Terms and Conditions. We further reserve the right to pursue any civil and criminal claims we may have against any user who violates these Terms and Conditions or who otherwise accesses the WFCL in an unauthorized manner.

User Registration

In order to access or use WFCL, you must become a registered user through one of our Access Hosts. You agree to provide such Access Host with true, accurate and complete registration information and, if such information changes, you will promptly update the relevant registration information. During registration, you may be asked by our Access Host to create a user name and password ("Account Information"). You are responsible for safeguarding and maintaining the confidentiality of your Account Information. You are solely responsible for the activity that occurs through the use of your Account Information, whether or not you have authorized the activity. You agree to notify your Access Host immediately of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your Account Information.

Privacy Policy

Certain features of the WFCL individualize the experience, requiring the collection, use, or tracking of certain information (e.g. individual reading preferences, progress tracking, names, grade levels, reading levels and e-mail addresses). Highlights and ChungChyDotCom utilize this personally identifiable information for the sole purpose of individualizing the user experience within the WFCL. In addition, from time to time, we receive from our Access Hosts information on users relating to technical issues. In such instances, we utilize the information and/or contact the user for the sole purpose of resolving the technical issue. All other uses of personally identifiable information, non-personally identifiable information and cookies are in strict compliance with our Privacy Policy below.

Highlights Corporate Privacy Information

At Highlights for Children, we care about:

●  Being open and honest with our customers, and
●  Treating personal information with care and respect

We welcome the chance to share Highlights' wholesome Fun with a Purpose™ content with families, and we approach each contact with our customers with care and respect. The policy below explains our practices regarding the safeguarding of personal information and the choices you can make about the way your information is used.

Regarding children’s privacy and the special privacy policy for our websites for children:

●  We fully comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule (the COPPA Rule) as well as with CARU's Self-Regulatory Guidelines for Children's Advertising, including the Guidelines for Interactive Electronic Media.
●  Certain features on our website allow a user to submit an e-mail address in order for our staff to provide an individual response. We use the e-mail address for no other purpose.
●  We do not collect personally identifiable information for the creation of user accounts for children, nor do we allow personally identifiable information to be disclosed by children to third parties.
●  We do collect aggregate information from our websites in order to improve the experiences for our young visitors. Aggregate information is non-personally identifiable. Like many sites, we also use "cookies" and other tracking technologies during a visit to help us understand how people use our websites. Your browser allows you to disable cookies.

Intellectual Property

We own all intellectual property rights in and to the content in the WFCL, including copyright and trademark rights. As an authorized user, we grant to you a limited license to copy the content, solely for the purposes of caching, displaying the content on your viewing device and printing the content (if such functionality is activated) in the WFCL, solely for your own, personal, non-commercial use. Beyond this very limited license, the WFCL content may not be copied, reproduced, modified, published, uploaded, posted, transmitted, "framed" on another site, or distributed in any way, shape or form without our prior written consent.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability.

We make every effort to ensure the availability and security of the WFCL. Even so, no warranty is expressed or implied by any statement made in these Terms and Conditions and we make no guarantee or warranty, express or implied, as to the availability, reliability, accuracy, or completeness of any content in the WFCL and we assume no responsibility for any errors or omissions therein. YOU ACCESS THE WORLD FAMILY CLUB LIBRARY AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE WORLD FAMILY CLUB LIBRARY IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS, AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND AND ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT ARE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMED. NEITHER OF HIGHLIGHTS FOR CHILDREN OR CHUNGCHYDOTCOM, NOR ANY OF THEIR AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR THIRD PARTY CONTENT PROVIDERS SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS RESULTING FROM USE OR UNAVAILABILITY OF INFORMATION OR CONTENT IN THE WORLD FAMILY CLUB LIBRARY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY LOST PROFITS, LOSS OR DAMAGE TO DATA, LOSS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT USED TO ACCESS THE WORLD FAMILY CLUB LIBRARY, OR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, COMPENSATORY OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF THEY HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS DISCLAIMER IS APPLICABLE TO ANY DAMAGE OR INJURY RESULTING FROM INADVERTENT DISCLOSURE OF USER INFORMATION, COMPUTER VIRUS OR OTHER SIMILAR ITEM, TELECOMMUNICATIONS ERRORS, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF USER INFORMATION THROUGH THEFT OR ANY OTHER MEANS. Release of Information and Indemnification.

In accordance with applicable law, we reserve the right to release information concerning anyone using the WFCL where we have a good faith belief that this person or entity may be in violation of their obligations to us or may be involved in some unlawful activity, where we are responding to civil subpoenas or discovery requests, where we are attempting to protect the interests of our business, our customers or others, or where otherwise permitted or required by law. If you misuse or abuse the WFCL or the content in it, you agree to indemnify us and hold us harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees and costs of suit, arising out of or in connection with such misuse or abuse.

Miscellaneous

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use and access to the WFCL. As noted, additional terms and conditions and privacy policies may be utilized by our Access Hosts. You are solely responsible for reviewing any such additional terms and policies. If any portion of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable for any reason, such portion will be deemed severed and will not affect the enforceability of the remaining terms.
